Among the clang of electric guitars Taynee Lord sits upon her vocal throne, producing a heady mix of anthemic hooks and commanding lyrics. Taynee claims to be “No queen bee” but prepare yourself for high octane country twang, walking bass and songs that tuck themselves into a bed of twisted pop. Taynee Lord gives you music for sunsets and highways from Bristol to Nashville.
Taynee founded her 5 piece band which quickly took shape in Bristol in late 2018 recording their debut EP 'If Only' in January 2019. On release day Taynee’s single ‘Blue Jeans’ made its first radio debut on BBC Radio Bristol on the Steve Yabsley show March 14th 2019 and ever since she has been a rising force amidst the burgeoning British Country Music Scene with her transmitting connection to the roots of Americana. Taynee was nominated for British Country AirPlay Artiste of The Year 2019 and her and the band made their television performance debut on Sky TV Showcase in December 2019 playing live on the UK Americana Bar Show.
In early 2020 Taynee recorded new music at producer Gareth Young’s Cube Recording Studios in Turo, Cornwall. With her single ‘No God Of Mine’ charting at Number 1 in the iTunes U.K. country music Charts & soaring to over 30,000 streams on Spotify. Resulting in Taynee and her band getting the honour to perform for Glastonbury Festival Founder Michael Eavis at The Pilton Stage.
2021 saw releases of singles ‘Bet on You’ & ‘I Don’t Want Flowers’, where the corresponding music videos were shown on Sky TV’s Fresh Country Music Show. In the same year Taynee Lord made her debut appearance at Buckle & Boots Country Music Festival in Manchester, U.K.
Taynee’s music has been played on BBC Introducing in the South & in the West and the band were honoured to be featured as BBC Upload's Live In Session Band of the Week in May 2022. With her music continued to be played and supported by many regional radio shows around the country & featured on Country Line Radio. Taynee has also captured the attention of many radio stations in the USA & around the world. In 2022 Taynee’s music was successful at The Simply Country Radio awards, winning an award for Best Song of the Year with her single ‘Love Moves like a Train’ and she was also honoured to take home The People’s Choice Award.
Taynee Lord headlined the 2022’s Glastonbury Calling Festival, along with the surprise release of her single ‘Boy with the Eyes’. 2022 also included Taynee and her band performing at festivals such as The Godney Gathering Festival, headlining Bristol International Balloon Festival, Outfield Festival, Bristol Harbour festival & many more.
To name a few appearances 2023 saw Taynee for the second year in a row headline The Bristol International Balloon Festival, made her second appearance at Rock n Ribs fest, perform at Glastonbury Abbey and played to a sold out audience at Foodies Festival. With the release of Taynee’s earlier 2023 single ‘Love Hard’ which was featured by BBC Introducing and loved by over a hundred radio stations worldwide. She dropped her single ‘You Think You’re All That’, on 1stNovember 2023 and later that month performed to a Sold Out Headline Show in London with Buck n Bull Saloon.
2024 started with Taynee releasing her newest single ‘Heavy Air’ with a dazzling, eye catching music video which has been raved about my many blogs, BBC Radio and radio stations worldwide. The summer of 2024 saw many more festival appearances for Taynee and her band performing at Lakefest, Country Road, The Royal Bath and West Show & Festival on the Hills alongside many others. Taynee Lord has an exciting future ahead with new music releases planned for 2025.
